It's a well-known fact that the FX-26 Turbo ToastMe reset button is actually wired to act as two separate buttons depending on weather you are holding the power button. This means you can change some games by holding the Reset button while you power on the FX-26 Turbo. This was not carried over into the tape version of the Ernest Footley collection and so doesn't work in any other ports either but those of you who have still the original hardware can use the Reset + Power trick to do the following:  *In Ernest Footley Tennis the ball will move twice as fast.*In Ernest Footley Spells His Doom you will get funnier words instead!*In Ernest Footley Gets Lost the wizard will not chase you (BIG CHEAT).*In Ernest Footley's Big Adventure you can reach the platform above the cage without the wing shoes.*In Ernest VS Donkey the donkeys will be slower.In all versions of the games AND the colection however (INCLUDING the Windows version) you can do the following: *In Ernest Footley start the game and DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING and after 30 seconds a lift will appear and take you to the end.*In Ernest Footley Wins the Nobel Price you can get $1000 by heading back to the boardroom before getting into the car.*In Ernest Footley Gets Lost you can warp back to the starting room by standing in the topright corner of a room for five seconds. This only works in rooms where you can reach the very topright corner and it won't work in the starting room.*Also in Ernest Footley Gets Lost you will pick up an object as a Weapon if Ernest is looking to the left and as an Armor is Ernest is looking to the right. Not many poeple know this.*In Ernest Footley Wrestling press Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, Action to turn on TEETH! Yes this is a REAL code that makes you knock the teeth out of your opponent and it was a big controversy at the time.*In Ernest VS Donkey the 50th donkey is actually a secret bonus that speeds up the game and gives you 50 bonus points!*Here is a TOUGH one: in Ernest Footley Gets Lost, if you have either a Car or a Bicycle as your Weapon AND either a Camera or a Baby as your Armor, then use the trick to warp back to the starting room, walk out of the room and immediately go back into the starting room, you will get a secret message saying, "Tina Jansen". This proves that Jansen was the programmer on Ernest Footley Gets Lost. |
