Home Tricks and cheats LegumeSoft trivia! Web ring

LegumeSoft started in 1952 as a trading company (then Johnsson Bean & Peanut Shipping Company) and moved into the tech business like so many others during the home computing boom. Founder George Johnsson stayd with the company from beginning to end and he was often called "The Captain" thanks to his huge black beard. He personaly designed the company's new logo.

Their most wellknown programmers were Eugene Ford who also designed the FX-26 Turbo hardware, Tina Jansen, and Paulo Sanchez. Jansen was working as an electrician in the building until one day she started leaning over shoulders and giving suggestions on how to improve the programs, and Sanchez was Johnsson's neigbour's son who used to come over to tinker on his old computers. But LegumeSoft was very secretive due to fear of losing their employees to their competitors so we don't know who made most of their games.

After the company went out of business there were plenty of fans making copies of the tapes and it's not too difficult to find a working FX-26 Turbo even today.
