Items

Various things you can find throughout the game.

Weapons
These are the weapon pickups, and the requirements for assimilating them.

Machinegun: Tasen 3 Shocksplinter: Komato 6
Rocket launcher: Tasen 6 CFIS: Komato 10
MPFB Devastator: Tasen 10 Banana gun: see Sector 9
Resonance detonator: free Massacre: see Sector X
Pulse cannon: Komato 3 Null driver: see Sector Z

Ammunition
You can only carry up to 5 times your Assimilate stat in ammunition. If your Assimilate stat is 10, the cap is increased to 99. With a Tasen stat of 10, you get one extra unit of ammo for each Tasen-type ammo you pick up, and likewise for Komato-type ammo.

4 / 10 machinegun clips 4 / 10 pulse cells
1 / 3 launcher ammo 1 / 3 shock shells
1 / 3 MPFB cells 4 / 10 CFIS cells

Nano (Blue Nanofield)
Comes in four sizes: 2, 4, 8 and 16. With enough Nano, you'll level up. Also regenerates armor based on your Assimilate stat.

Health (Red nanofield)
Regenerates 2 hit points on Normal difficulty, but only 1 on Hard and above. Having an Assimilate stat of 10 makes it give you one extra HP. Nonexistant on Ultimortal difficulty.

Armor (Green nanofield)
Regenerates armor based on your Assimilate stat. Having an Assimilate stat of 10 makes it give you an extra HP. Nonexistant on Ultimortal difficulty.

Nano overload
Temporarily gives you a random ability, but you won't find them on the Extreme or Ultimortal difficulties. If you've killed a total of 5 or less enemies per Sector, you can only get the effects marked as "low". If you've killed over 30 enemies per Sector, you can only get the effects marked as "high". Otherwise you can get any effect. You can also play tennis with Komato Assassins by firing projectiles into them while the Nanomirror is active, or sneak past enemies with Nanovis as long as you don't make noises or bump into them.
Nanochaos (high) - retaliate if damaged
Nanospark (high) - automatically damage nearby enemies for 1 HP
Nanoblast (high) - explosive Shotgun and Buster gun
Nanorage (high) - no ammo spent
Nanomirror (high) - automatic Resonance reflector
  Nanovis (low) - partial invisibility
Nanolife (low) - revive once if killed
Nanoshield (low) - no armor damage
Nanoforge (low) - turn damaging enemy fire into ammo of the same type
Nanoreflex (low) - auto-tech all damage (see Misc secrets on "tech")

Supercharge
Sectors 1 through X has one Supercharge each, usually well hidden. They give you one stat point when collected, letting you boost your stats beyond what is normally possible, and completely refill your health. Note that there's no reward for finding all of the Supercharges, and the game does not record them in any way.

Jump upgrade
Found in Sector 2 and Sector 5, they let you jump much higher.

Armor upgrade
Improves resistance to armor-draining weapons and running into enemies. Armor level 2 decreases damage by 50%, while Armor level 3 decreases damage by 67%. Armor upgrades are found in Sector 3, Sector 7, Sector 8, Sector 9 and Sector X, but once you've reached Armor level 3, the rest of these upgrades won't appear.

Ribbon
Iji's memories of her sister on the day of the Alpha Strike makes her see these ribbons scattered around the complex. There's one in each standard Sector, and if you miss it, Iji will forget Mia and not see any more ribbons for the rest of the game. The final ribbon makes Iji swear never to forget her sister. You won't find ribbons on Single Sector Play nor Sudden Death Sector!

Poster
One is well hidden in each Sector, and seeing them unlocks a larger picture to the Extras menu. Finding the posters in Sectors 1 through X lets you enter the Sector Z entrance teleporter in Sector 1.

Trapmine
Found in Sector 8, and only usable in that Sector. Duck over a teleporter destination and press the fire key to set it. When an enemy attempts to teleport through, the destination explodes instead, and the enemy will not appear. Can be used to save Dan from Assassin Asha.
