Poster viewer How to unlock: Available from the start Displays all the posters you have found. There is one in each Sector. Here's what they look like: Single Sector Play How to unlock: Beat the game on Normal or higher This lets you replay any Sector on Normal difficulty. You'll enter the Sector with the maximum level and points up to that point, and as soon as you beat the Sector, you're brought back to the Main menu. Play Hero 3D How to unlock: Beat the game on Hard or higher You can now play Hero 3D without having to use the terminal in Sector 6. Steer with the arrow keys and press 1 or 2 to fire left or right. Destroy the generators to lower the barriers. There are 9 levels and it gets tougher every time you complete it, up to 242 times. If you lose all your lives you're sent back to the previous level, but the difficulty cannot decrease. The final level contains only a bunch of color-cycling flowers and extra lives (pictured below). NOTE: You cannot earn any unlockables or other important secrets no matter how far you get in this minigame. Alternate outfit How to unlock: Beat the game on Extreme This changes Iji's in-game outfit to the clothes she wears during the introduction cutscene. Weapon information How to unlock: Get "Nanomaster" rank You need to beat the game with 100 successful cracks or more, but note that failed cracks count against this number. This unlockable lists detailed weapon information, but doesn't cover the Null driver. Enemy information How to unlock: Get "Immortal" rank You need to beat the game while taking less than 100 hit points worth of damage. This unlockable lists detailed enemy and boss information. Sector maps How to unlock: Beat the game on Normal or higher Shows you the map for each Sector, and also puts these maps on the pause menu. A red X indicates a poster you haven't unlocked yet, while a green checkmark is a poster you've unlocked. Sudden Death Sector How to unlock: Beat the game on Hard or higher This lets you replay any Sector on the special Sudden Death difficulty, where everything has only 1 HP and 100 armor, including you. Otherwise the rules are the same as Normal difficulty. You'll enter the Sector with the maximum level up to that point, and as soon as you beat the Sector, you're brought back to the Main menu. Unlike Single Sector play, you get a checkmark beside each completed Sudden Death Sector. The best strategy is generally to increase Attack and use the Machinegun, CFIS or Plasma cannon where available. Don't worry about the bosses; they're as weak as everyone else. Turbo mode How to unlock: Beat the game on Ultimortal Doubles the maximum frame rate, but may make the game stutter on slow computers. Modern gaming computers should have no problems running the game at double speed, unless there is a conflict between Game Maker and your graphics card, as is often the case. Activating this unlockable can severely increase the challenge of the game - even I haven't beaten Asha's return fight on Ultimortal Turbo mode. Scrambler How to unlock: Find the Scrambler in Sector 6 This activates the Scrambler. It can also be activated though the Help/info part of the pause menu. Sound test How to unlock: Beat the game on Normal or higher Lets you listen to the game's 190 sound effects and voices with subtitles, and 21 songs. Note that the song ½fabrikat (pronounced halvfabrikat, meaning "semi-manufactured article") is not an external MP3. It consists of pitched sound effects played back in real-time by the game. These sound effects cannot be played back separately by the sound test, either. Ultimortal difficulty How to unlock: Beat the game on Extreme Lets you play Ultimortal difficulty. Considerably tougher than Extreme, it gives you a time limit for each Sector, the enemies are faster, you cannot increase any stat but Health and there are no health pickups, among other things. This also means you cannot skip Asha's return fight in Sector X. Warp to Sector Z How to unlock: enter Sector Z for the first time. This adds Sector Z to the Single Sector Warp list. |
