The biggest and most lethal Sector yet, this is where the real fight for survival begins. Ribbon After getting the Jump upgrade, you can reach this room in the middle right part of the Sector. Poster Crack yourself a Nuke (Rocket launcher + MPFB Devastator + Crack 9) and go to (A). Fire the Nuke to destroy the wall and barrel above, and you can reach the poster. Supercharge This Supercharge is actually found in the boss room. Fire the Nuke (Rocket launcher + MPFB Devastator + Crack 9) at Asha while he's visible to get it. Secrets + notable modifiers Skip the terminals The door at (B) requires you to access the terminals (C) and (D). However, you can use Spread rockets (Shotgun + Rocket launcher + Crack 5) or the Nuke (Rocket launcher + MPFB Devastator + Crack 9) to destroy the floor at (E) instead. Skip the bottom of the Sector Destroy the floor at (E) and go down the ventilation. Head right, and you'll be standing next to the room with the Jump upgrade. Stand against the right wall and fire the MPFB Devastator into the wall to be sent flying into the Jump upgrade room. One-shot Assassin Asha As described in the Supercharge paragraph, you can defeat Asha with the Nuke, which also makes him comment on your choice of weapons. You can even have the Nuke equipped before the boss room, then hold the fire key while flipping through the pre-battle dialogue - you'll win the instant the fight begins. If you're holding Left as well, you'll be sent flying towards the Supercharge. Sealed room To get into the sealed room (G), use an explosive weapon on the wall above or let the nearby Komato Trooper destroy it with a Shocksplinter. Otherwise you'll need a Strength of 7. Alternate opening chat If Iji refused to crack the terminal at the end of Sector 4, Iji and Dan will briefly argue about it here. Pacifist at least to the recently arrived Kill five or less enemies during this Sector to slightly alter what Asha says. Your previous total kill count is irrelevant. Not the crunchiest cookie in the jar With the Scrambler (see Sector 6) activated, everything Asha says in the game is reduced to emoticons and what sounds like toy trains and cars. Early Shocksplinter There are two ways to reach the Shocksplinter stashed in the Komato Assault Carrier on the roof of the complex (F). One is to kick the shield door down with a Strength of 3, the other is to get the Jump upgrade later in the Sector, jump on top of the Komato ship and drop into the room with the weapon from above. Getting the Shocksplinter also lets you get the Plasma cannon early (Pulse cannon + Shocksplinter + Crack 8) which easily defeats Asha on Normal difficulty. References Tyrian The SUPER JUICE 5000 logbook references the orbital pizza parlor in Tyrian. Hero One of the computer screens near the poster has Hero and a Drone on it. |
